The Primary section of the Great Heights Academy is a high-standard Islamic Primary school that leaves no stone unturned in the pursuit of moral and academic excellence. We are modern in every sense and technologically driven. The primary school has regular classes and the Tahfeez classes. The regular classes are English speaking classes with Quran and Arabic as subjects on the time table along with other subjects, while the Tahfeez classes are the Arabic speaking classes with Basic Science and Technology, Mathematics and English studies.
The school has spacious, well-ventilated and adequately illuminated classrooms with functional interactive boards. Each classroom is equipped with a closed circuit camera to enable the Management to monitor what goes on in each classroom and provide adequate security in and around the classrooms at all times.
The school is staffed with qualified, experienced and highly motivated teachers who are constantly abreast of the latest happenings in the educational world. The Management is also made up of experienced and seasoned educational administrators. The school provides refresher courses in and out of the school for the staff to improve their professional capabilities. Our library is well stocked with a wide variety of foreign and local books. The e-learning room has an adequate number of latest computers that are connected to the internet, for the pupils and teachers’ use.
A typical day in Great Heights Primary school starts with the morning assembly, where the teachers and pupils commit the day’s activities to the hand of Allah in prayers. There is also the recitation from the Holy Quran, moral talk, and the day’s date in Arabic, French and English languages. The pupils then take the national anthem and pledge after which they march into their classrooms with beautiful Islamic songs. The school operates the Nigeria Curriculum with a blend of the relevant and beneficial foreign curriculum. We embark on educational excursions to complement our classroom teaching.
Great Heights is not about academics alone. We give adequate attention to other co-curricular activities like sports, drama, scientific innovation, creative writing and drawing.
